Michael R. Creighton


Michael R. Creighton is a partner at Anzelmo & Creighton, LLC. He focuses his practice on issues involving personal injury, collections, business entity formation, general litigation, workers’ compensation defense, and insurance litigation. Michael represents a wide range of clients that includes individuals, businesses, and insurance companies. He is a fierce advocate for justice and zealously represents his clients in and out of the courtroom.

Michael grew up in Monroe, Louisiana. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor of Arts in History with a concentration in legal studies. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law School in 2004.

Before becoming a partner with Anzelmo & Creighton, LLC., Michael was an associate with a defense firm in Monroe, Louisiana from 2006 – 2017 where he was a litigation attorney handling personal injury claims for individuals and workers’ compensation defense. Additionally, he was an Assistant Attorney General for the Louisiana Department of Justice from 2004 – 2006 where he handled an extensive variety of matters including civil rights, constitutional law, issuing legal opinions, and general litigation.

Michael is an active member of the community and serves on the Board for the Monroe Youth Girls Softball League. He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, Fourth Judicial District Court Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Business and Industry.
