Benjamin D. Jones is an Attorney with Anzelmo & Creighton engaging primarily in Workers’ Compensation Defense, Commercial Litigation and Transactions, and Oil and Gas Litigation.
Ben joined Anzelmo & Creighton in 2020. Before moving to Monroe, Ben practiced at Ottinger Hebert in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he engaged primarily in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Transactions and Oil and Gas Litigation. Ben has provided a wide range of services to corporate clients, including resolving disputes over commercial loans on behalf of lenders and borrowers, negotiating physician employment and practice agreements, and pursuing collection matters. Ben has also represented oil and gas clients in several high-profile cases arising out of mineral leases, joint operating agreements, and marketing agreements. He has been particularly involved in appellate practice for his clients, including numerous cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit.
Ben earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2011, where he was a published member of the Loyola Law Review and earned Law Excellence Awards for the highest grade in Moot Court and Louisiana Civil Procedure. Following law school, Ben served as a law clerk to the Honorable Karen L. Hayes, Magistrate Judge for the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
Ben is licensed to practice in all trial and appellate courts in the State of Louisiana, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Louisiana and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
